Valeriya Myronenko is a photographer based from Working Proof – a photography studio in Toronto’s East end, located at a reconverted Coca-Cola bottling plant. Born and raised in Ukraine, Valerie started her career in photography by documenting lives of coal mine workers and old Soviet factories. Through her photos, she showed the reasons of conflict in Ukraine and changes it was going through.
After moving to Canada, she kept her interest in industrial spaces, history and story-telling and started applying it in fashion photography. Now Valerie is working on building a community of creatives around Working Proof Studios, expanding her knowledge in film and lightning and bringing her expertise in photojournalism and fashion together.
