Ever since her childhood, Stéphanie Pineau always had a great interest in art. She always tried to recreate what she saw. At 12-year-old, she already had a subscription to ELLE Québec and watched America’s Next Top Model. She didn’t know why she loved to look at these pictures that transported her in a contemplative state. She started silver photography and she developed them in a darkroom while studying in college.
At 20-year-old, she decided to study Commercial Photography at Marsan College in Montreal, where she discovered contemporary art. At this moment, she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a photography major at Concordia University. Stéphanie’s approach in art with photography is landscape where she explores the Land Art. She is in love with contemporary art but she also likes fashion photography. Fashion is an art so why Fashion Photography can’t be an art? We have to conceptualize and to interpret the clothes.
