Sasha Axenova is a film photographer and one half of Obsolete Collective, a multimedia art and DJ collective based in Montreal. Most of the subjects she photographs are non professional female models in familiar and comfortable to them surroundings. Her work is un retouched in order to focus on natural beauty and to reveal imperfections that exist in all living creatures.
She uses the female gaze to photograph her subjects and rejects traditional gender roles. Who ever said a woman can’t wear a suit and look good in it too was really wrong!
