We’re all familiar with insanely popular Coachella and even Osheaga here in Montreal, but we feel like there are tons of other music festivals that definitely deserves some love. Canada has many attractive festivals coming up for the summer, so we have selected for you our top 6 summer music festivals that you might not want to miss out.

FIELD TRIP 2016

When: June 4-June 5, 2016
Where: Toronto, Ontario
Lineup: The National, July Talk, Of Montreal, Ra Ra Riot, Lennon & Maisy, Braves Shores, Charlotte Day Wilson, Holy Fuck, and more.

This music festival is not only about music. Fashion, art, comedy, food and technology are also part of the fun. Located in downtown Toronto at Historic Fort York & Garrison Common, Field Trip has something to please everyone.

BESTIVAL TORONTO 2016

When: June 11-June 12, 2016
Where: Toronto, Ontario
Lineup: The Cure, Tame Impala, Grimes, Daughter, Pusher, The Wombats, Madeon, Art Department, Swim Deep, and more.

Take a good music lineup and mix it with circus troupes, Bollywood acts and a costume party. You get the Bestival Toronto. Oh, and did we mention the Day Of The Dead Cocktail Bus?

POUZZA FEST 2016

When: May 20-May 22, 2016
Where: Montreal, Québec
Lineup: Oh My Snare!, The Fleshtones, Full Of Hell, Suicide Machines, WD40, Dowsing, Ringworm and more.

This punk rock music festival is located right in downtown Montreal. Near 200 bands will be performing in different walking distance venues. The goal of Pouzza Fest? To be a gigantic party for everyone, while discovering new bands and meet new people.

WINNIPEG FOLK FESTIVAL 2016

When: July 7-July 10, 2016
Where: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Lineup: Basia Bulat, Boogat, Coeur de Pirate, Les Hay Babies, Lisa LeBlanc, Milky Chance, Ryan Adams, The Paper Kites, and more.

This outdoor folk music festival presents emerging folk artists from around the world. The Winnipeg Folk Festival is a year-round organization with a simple mission: create experiences of discovery through the celebration of people and music.

GRIDLOCK FESTIVAL 2016

When: July 8-July 10, 2016
Where: Halifax, Nova Scotia
Lineup: Wolf Parade, Wintersleep, American Football, Beach Slang, Adam Strangler, Freak Heat Waves, Peach Kelli Pop, and more.

Gridlock Festival is a new, outdoor tented festival taking place on the grounds of Spatz Theater/Citadel High School in Halifax. You will also find a food truck alley and pop-up shops from various retail vendors.

PEMBERTON MUSIC FESTIVAL 2016

When: July 14-July 17, 2016
Where: Pemberton, British Columbia
Lineup: Pearl Jam, Die Antwoord, BØRNS, Cypress Hill, Halsey, Purity Ring, Girl Talk, Allen Stone, The London Souls, and more.

Close to the Whistler ski resort, The Pemberton Music Festival is taking over multiple stages with indie, rock and hip-hop music. There’s camping on the site as well as comedy acts.
