“My name is Michaël Descoteaux and I hail from Montreal, Canada. When I first began photography, I had one intention in mind: become one of the best photographers in Canada, one photo shoot at a time. I’m inspired by photographers who started with little to no resources, and made it to the upper echelon of professional photography.
One example that I invoke frequently is that of Russell James (Victoria’s Secret). I admire how he became who he is today, by not being afraid of taking risks and by continuing to remain authentic. His immense talent cannot be understated, however, it is his courage, drive, focus and perseverance that I truly marvel at. I will be moving to New York City on June 9th for several months.
